Re: 16-18 June Gauteng get together
To be honest - if it was anyhow possible I would have been on all of these trips/events but alas, there are "pie in the sky" and then there are reality - for me at least.Wilkie wrote:Is the Patrols a dying breed .....????
trips been cancelled due to not enough participants and we battling to get numbers for a day trip.......................
From my quiet corner I see what is happening to the Forum events now, is exactly the same as what we have experienced from a Club perspective - dwindling numbers in attending events - no ones fault - just reality.
Last year during the Club YEF at Kungwini, the hosts there were surprised that we were able to get about 10 vehicles together (and we were very disappointed in the ten) on the day as they stated - all Clubs / Groups are experiencing a downward trend in attendee numbers and many a Club struggle to get even 10 together.
What I have learnt the hard way is that we need to persist - even it there are only 5 or 6 vehicles on the day. Things will turn again and then the people and their vehicles will return - if we don't persist, then we are a dying breed.
Mooi loop...en lekker ry....
Groete/Regards,
George Brittnell

Just get Tinus to let everyone know that he has on his cell phone - will triple quickly.Wilkie wrote:Is the Patrols a dying breed .....????

Unfortunately quit a number of owners do not visit the forum that regularly and we don't have an e-mail list to send out a notice to every one.
Once we confirm the venue I will try and watsup every one I have and see if that might help

I am keen on a local event. Karee Krqns too far for now, but i will be there for any of the other options.
I have voted for Moegatle and Heidelberg, but not really too fussed.

Ek stem vir Kreekrans want ek was nog nie daar nie, maar as ons meer mense gaan kry by 'n nader plek, dan doen ons eerder dit.Peter Connan wrote:I am keen on a local event. Karee Krans too far for now, but i will be there for any of the other options.
So, Dirk, jy moet hierdie in ag neem:
Al kry Kareekrans dalk meer stemme as eerste keuse, ons moet dalk dink aan watter plek die meenste mense gaan bymekaar kry - wat nader is
Skilpad, Shortie, Toro & Masewa
