Re: Tierkloof 30 Aug 2009
Outing decorum for Tierkloof on Sunday:
1. Looks as if comms is going to be 29 Mhz as well as VHF radio. Any suggestions as to how we implement communication?
2. If the weather plays along we could relax after the driving around a braai fire. I intend taking a chance and will be bringing braai stuff with me.
3. Don't forget your recovery gear and compressor etc.
4. Convoy rules apply - keep the guy behind you in sight! ... even on the tar road ... he he he ... mind you a straight stripe of Patrols will look pretty impressive!
5. Ensure that your front and rear recovery points are solid! On that note, G-man where are you ... ?
6. Cash on arrival to pay the entry fees.
7. and whatever Pieter can still dream up ...

Re: Tierkloof 30 Aug 2009
Hi all,
I notice there is a lot of exitement on the up coming trip on Sunday and it is going to turn out to be a great day - so herewith the final arrangements:
Departure: Winelands Engen One Stop next to N1 @ 08H00 SHARP!!! (Especially for the who wish to a bit later!!)
Costs: R100-00 per vehicle, R20-00 per adult and free for all school going children irrespective of age.
Arrangements: We doing a braai (wheather permitting) after the trip at the camping area - I will provide enough wood - everybody / family to provide the rest for themselves.
Participants so far confirmed: Myself, Tour de Frans, G-Man + 2, Saltman, Patrol4.8, Rittelin, Rodger - who am I missing?? - I am counting 9 but saw posts of 10 Patrols!! Anybody driving 2 vehicles at once???
I notice Saltman was kind enough to make a posting on the safety issues and recovery gear - thank you. But should you be careful and cautious nobody should need any of it - afterall we are all driving PATROL'S - the ultimate 4x4!!! We will have a briefing at Tierkloof again before we set off on the trip to ensure top safety!!
I am not going to try and dream up anything extra - the idea is for us all to go and have a joyous day of 4x4ing and to meet each other face to face!!!
Cornelius where will you be meeting us - at the Hugenot Tunnel or Tierkloof - I pressume coming from Wellington you will not meet us at Winelands N1??
Great - see you all @ 8 on Sunday!!!

Sounds awesome guys and really wish I can join you, next time. Please take plenty pics and a group pic for the forum. Also remember that Rittelin drives a LC105, but generally knows what he's doing so shouldn't hold you up ;-)

More almal

Thx
PS: Charlie, waa jy broer...?? Kom jy saam!!??
