I had the Gopro in the car on obstacle 10, my second-worst obstacle.
I took out one whole gate there, both sides. Still can't figure out how I did that...
Those guys shure knew which the difficult obstacles were?
Mag ons ons kenniskry met lekkerkry aanhoukry.

David,
I had the honor to carry the in-car cam on two obstacles. Fortunately one was my best but the second (one through the mud up and over). Cedric saw you placed me on a 4th place. I can only dream. I was only able to obtain the green certificate.
What a grate day.
Thank you to all involved.

:rolling:

Cedric and other Nissan club chiefs:
I spoke to Vaughn about this briefly on Saturday
We need more friendly Nissan club competitions.
I also like the idea of being able to retry an obstacle, having hit a banner or two. I .e. to see how I can do it differently, and getting to know the dynamics of one's vehicle better. With every competition one has just one go at each obstacle, and once you got it wrong, you don't get to retry it.

By the way, did anyone manage to miss that banner right in the middle of the obstacle with the twisters? (I think obstacle 6 or 7).
I thouhgt that obstacle must have been set up by the Jimny club... :rolling:

No I actually hit three poles trying to avoid it in the process. Spoke to the marshal afterwards.. apparently there were two alternatives:
  • Completely drive around the first gate: Lose the 25 points for missing a gate.
  • Completely drive straight over the pole also losing 25 points.
As far as I am aware, only one vehicle managed to get through that obstacle and it was the Terrano?

PS: Kobus, could we please get an indication of the points difference... next year I'd like to go after Wimpie's title, but first I need to know how much I have to improve! :rolling:
May the road be long.. and dirty.
