Wow thanks for all the welcomes!

I have had a lot of cars, wife says I am obsessed with cars.

Current one is thew touareg which is mickey mouse offroad, I even got the terrain tech one with low range and rear diff locker and it is not even as good as the landy series 3 that I had 15 years ago :oldtimer:

Patrol is amazing , just don't know why i never got one earlier.

I drove a 4.5 grx in cape town last week and I really liked it but its steering was a bit loose and i think I can find better out there and in this case out there is Jburg.

I have my eye on two Patrols one is a 4.5 grx 2000 year model full history with 223k on it for r110k (got one vrot leather seat  ) and the other is a 4.8 grx 2007 with 118k for R220k looks like new with full history at nissan.

I am leaning to get the 4.5 as its manual but I am not sure which one to get

Will fly up next week to check them out

Auto boxes have come a long way in the last few years, and the one in the 4.8 is a cracker!

Much better in sand than the manual, but a bit less control on some rocky sections...

You are right as the last four 4x4 I had all had auto boxes, I think I must take both of them for a good test ride and make a decision.
