So after I asked the question about packing for a road trip on Facebook. I got an excellent Response from Reenen regarding the total weight allowed on the patrol. Which is not a lot. So my question is, has anyone weighed their vehicle with all the goodies before you’ve set of on the great unknown? And how much weee you over/under with all the necessities?

Sensitive topic - nobody will admit anything that you already suspect...

I weighed mine just before our trip in December to Botswana. Empty tank with no one inside fully loaded otherwise: 2900kg with 100kg difference between front and back axles. Total I guess 3100kg
