Northern Cape in June

Post by izakjbrt » 01 Feb 2019 16:52

Ok, so me in the missus are planning to do a trip to the Northern Cape from around the 14th June, for about 10 days. She wants to go back to Boeggoeberg where she was born, and I want to go see the world .

I am more of a go from point a to point b and then spend a week there and come back. So now we plan on doing a road trip. She wants to go back to grobblershoop and I want to see Alexander Bay. And along the way we want to check out augrabies, verneuk pan and witsand.

Now it might not sound dangerous and full of risk, but hey, we’re just starting...

So any advice will be appreciated. Is it doable? Are we biting of more than we can chew? Is it too tight a time limit ? Are there enough gas stations along the way so that I won’t have to load Jerry cans (were going by road)?

Thanks

If you are going to Alexander Bay you may just as well do a dogleg through a part of the Richtersveld.
Along the main routes there are enough fuel stations. On Sunday we can talk about it. I have quote a bit of info for you.
