Phambuka Beach Camp in Ponta d Ourais very nice, whenever I go camping in Ponta d Oura again it will be there, lovely ablutions for the women, few of the camp spots have grass ( 1 to 8 ) and is very close to ablutions the only problem if you have young kids it is far from the main beach ( not walking distance )
Shalom

Re: Ponta do Ouro Camping
Chris,
My fellow father in law knows the area intimately as he led Quad adventure tours in the area a while ago. They were not the "tear up the bush " type but slow and informative and very good to do. They carried everything and camped in the bush. I don't think he has a map though.
Natalie (mentioned earlier in this tread) will be your best bet. If she cannot help , she will know someone who can.
Regards.

Re: Ponta do Ouro Camping
Christo,..... a little off topic but that trip to Ponta via Swaziland. Where do you enter Swazi and what times do those borders close/open? We have done the Ponta to Maputo road a few times, catching either the ferry or taking the road left to Matola bypassing the ferry, and yeah there are rough sections of road.... but a great adventure none the less.
It would be nice to try a different adventure through Swaziland as the new JHB to Jozini road is far to smooth to dive in a Patrol !!!

Re: Ponta do Ouro Camping
Hi Cedrick,
The best is to go into Swaziland at Oshoek (near Amsterdam) and go straight through past Mbabane , Manzini and head for Naamacha.
You could also go past Nelspruit and enter at Jeppes Reef.
From Naamacha to Boane , Bela Vista Zitundu and RnR , Sorry Ponta.
The border times change so it is better to call them before you go. Oshoek will be open longer than the others.
Dawid Volshenk has a brother that lives in Swaziland. He would be a good contact no to save.
