Post by Vaatjie »

Has anybody done this trail lately? I am doing it over the weekend with 15 other 4x4rs. Any pointers.

Have a look on 4x4 community forum. I did this trail a few times. It is not for the feint hearted. Rated 3-4 in some places but i did it in a Harbody. Take warm clothing as it gets freezing cold .In the morning the diesels guys used to make a fire :surprised: under the vehicle to heat a glow plugs. All three trails are driveable but you have to have help negotiating the rocks. My 2cw >>>>>>>>>>>>Cheers<<<<<<<<<<Ian>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>ORA

John, i have to admit thats the only hill i couldnt do. Thats Johan Meyers trok with broken diff. He came another day in the LC bakkie , fixed the problem and carried on up. Morne now has the bakkie.
I have seen quite a few 4l Jeeps and even Dino Burnett made it just a meter short but i recon thats good enough in my book.
Thanks for posting.....................

Ian, actually Craig de Villiers 80 at that point in time. I was right next to him when it happened...

G-Man: I will attempt it one day, but without mods you're gonna hurt your vehicle - and then again even with all the mods...
