Hi guys,
I am planning to to a trip to Hole in the Wall later this year. I am planning to go the quiet routes, but I am unsure about security and safety as I am aware that tourists had some problems in that area in the past. Please advise?
Does anybody have experience of the "Wild Coast Eco Trail"? I see the route on T4A.
So far I am travelling alone, but hopefully we will get some company.
Any info on the above will be appreciated!
Regards
Fanie

Re: Hole in the Wall & Wild coast
We did a similar trip. We stayed 3 nights at Morgans bay in the caravan park. Nice and clean. Moved of to Coffee Bay and stayed 8 days at White Clay and did day trips to Hole in the wall and the surroundings. White clay is safe with a watchman at night. The locals wash your dishes and dirty clothes everyday for a mere R20.00. The watchman was paid R30.00 a night and we felt very safe. We gave our fishing gear to the locals and they caught a lot of fish every day(for us). Very nice place to have a holiday.
O yes. They gave our fishing gear back in one piece.

Re: Hole in the Wall & Wild coast
Thanx for your feedback, Vaatjie.
Did you stay on the "bigger" roads or did you venture off onto the 4x4 routes as well?
Fanie
