Post by georgeb »

With credit to a post from the 4x4 Community Forum:

Thanks to Louis, Stephan and the gang swinging aroundhere from Witbank.
This trucks are up to it and capable, one must see it tobelieve it.

Like been mentioned the distance was 1.2 km one way +-hour drive, more down hill.
Both ways 2.4 km, back more up hill - 2 hour drive
They do recommend +- 31 tyres and some bodyclearance.
Note up mountain not for standard vehicles.

COST R 300.00 PER VEHICLE INCLUDES 2 PERSONS THERE AFTERR 80.00 PER PERSON EKSTRA.
YOU CAN DO OLD AND NEW TRAIL DURATION +- 4 TO 4.5 HOURS
Book now to challenge our new route (level 3 – 4). Route is officially open.

We have the following requirements so far:
1. It is essential to book in advance.
2. Groups of 3 – 8 vehicles are allowed at a time.
3. No children under 18 are allowed on this route.
4. No alcohol or persons under the influence are allowed.
5. The new route will be open from 09h00 till 15h00.

We would further recommend the following:

2. Reliable vehicle with good ground clearance, at least diff-lock? we think +-31” tires? belly protection (although most of the big rocks have been removed),proper front rear recovery points and recovery gear.

The following are required in at least one of the vehicles in the group:

Was n week of twee terug daar saam met Sam (aka Trowalts) en bietjie met die eienaar gesels. Roete is blykbaar nie te rof nie, maar aangesien dit n nuwe roete is, is die plantegroei nog effens wild. So mens moet of geduldig wees en 'n paar clippers pak om die pad oop te maak, of mens moet tevrede wees met 'n paar 'bos strepe'. :rolling:
