Axe & Shovel Bracket

Post by Tjaart »

Made this handy shovel and axe bracket.

I originally had my high lift jack on the rear spare wheel. I had a bracket made up that gets bolted down together with the wheel carrier. I liked the jack there, because I can get it down in 30 seconds. Unlike a roof mounted one.

I then moved the jack to the bumper in front. I wasn't comfy with the extra weight on the door hinges. I then made the bracket for the shovel & axe to fit on the exist bracket that housed the jack. It's made of GMS plate used for support of electrical cables. Cable trays, in other words. I used brackets with rubber linings to reduce vibrations and movement. They fasten with screws, so though you need to undo it with a screw driver, a would be thief will still take about 4.5 milli seconds to steal it!! When I'm not in the bush, I remove the whole bracket and then don't cart it around for free!!! Same with the jack. I only place it on the bumper when heading to the rough stuff!!

Koos.

Ek sal vir jou fotos en details post onder 'n nuwe topic: Rear Replacement bumper.

Herrie.
