Hi Russ,

I am finally getting to the point where i have decided that i need to do a similar canopy on my Troll.

I know that it will be a bit of a copy cat and they will probably look identical after the canopy is fitted.

Do you mind sharing some of the key dimentions with me.
What I am looking for the the following!
Canopy height,( from the top of the load bin) and width of the roof.

Currnelty i am contemplating doing stanless steel frame with aluminum sheets with the overall final look almost identical to yours.

Your help will be much appreciated.

Cheers!

Hi Russ,

Got a quote today for a canopy from a well reputable manufacturer at the wrong side of 30k.
Well i guess they will see it as a project and not as a production item.....
Anyway another great reason to do it DIY.

I would love to hear what you think could be done differently.

On the timing, I am quite busy myself..
And well.. I have been waiting 2 years to decide if I want to do the canopy thing or not, so another couple of months will not make a difference.
I believe doing it right is better than just getting it done....pretty much why I drive a Patrol too... .

Would love to see your latest pic's.
And those dimentions, it looks like it was somehting that you got right!

Have fun and keep safe!

Vloot out!

If I also had a Patrol Bakkie I would have done the same as what I did with my Safari.
