Looking for LiFeP04 Battery
Hi guys
I was wondering if anybody knows of a place that sells Lithium batteries which have a slim design. I am changing my setup in one of my vehicles and decided to take the plunge to LiFeP04. I would like a 100ah, but if I find a 200ah slimline I might take that as well.
My current AGM is about 130mm wide if i recall. I have found several Lithium suppliers but none are slim. The AGM is not completely sealed - and would want a sealed unit that is obviously maintenance free.
I want to permanently place the battery behind my second row with DC/DC charger, fuses the lot.

Re: Looking for LiFeP04 Battery
Thanks hugejp, I didn't find them on my original google search, but I am happy you sent the link.
It seems that the 12 100ah lithium is like 73mm wide and only weighs 5.7kg
And it basically costs the same as an AGM.
Crazy.
I will just contact them to make sure my dc/dc charger is compatible.
Is there a dc to dc charger you would recommend for Lithium?

I would ask Anthony @ Ant's Custom Workshop.
When you call Mantech ask them too, they have always been happy to give advice.

Re: Looking for LiFeP04 Battery
I charge the Life4Po battery in my Patrol with a National Luna dc-dc charger. Easy to install and accommodate solar input as well.

Re: Looking for LiFeP04 Battery
Thanks for the advice, I will pm Anthony
I've sent Mantech an e-mail, will wait to hear from them as well.
I've come across some 3.2v 120ah Lithium batteries- they are nice and small - I just don't know how robust they would be
I realised my current dc/dc charger doesn't support Lithium.
I will hear what Ant has to say. I've read that with a WRND you can charge the cranking battery with the 2nd battery when its flat. Upon further inspection it seems that you basically just swap the two wires from the respective batteries around. Thus, I'm sure CTEK or NL can do the same?
Will keep you in the loop
