I've found it very usefull to have a panga, handsaw or an axe along on many a trip... especially when towing a tall skiboat down rural Moz tracks... timming overhead bush and palms is required once a year in certain places... just like pruning your garden at home....

As ek moet kies, kap 'n tak (nie die hele boom nie), of maak nuwe spore om rondom die tak te ry, dan kap ek die tak. Die nuwe spore veroorsaak meer skade aan die omgewing.

jumpin to conclusions .. ek ry nie OM takke nie - as die spoor daar is, ry ek daar. As elli 'n boom inni pad gooi, DAN re ek om die boom en almal na my ry ook daar en dit word die nuwe pad [dit is die moremi/savuti standaard.. ]

ek wou eintlik net weet wat maak daai byl so spesiaal

Ah, direkte vrae kry altyd die direkte antwoord. :naughty:

Die hef en die byl se kop is aan mekaar gegiet, en die byl sit met die oorgrote meerderheid van sy gewig in die kop, en byna niks in die hol hef nie. Die hef word gemaak van Polyamide en is byna onbreekbaar; dis basies 'n glasvesel en polymer mengsel. Die byl se snykant word teen 'n baie nou hoek geslyp, so hy glip deur meeste hout soos byne geen ander nie; in elke geval nie soos enige ander winkelbyl nie.

Ek het dieselfde probleem met byle ge had toe koop ek eendag een van daai koppe wat op n piksteel
Pas met die nuwe plastiek pikstele werk dit baie goed........
Jy kan hom ook agterop klap met n tien pond om deur die hout te kry......
Nie die tipe ding wat jy in die kar wil rond ry nie maar werk regtig baie goed
En kos ek dink R100
Vir takke ens dink ek n panga of Silky
Maak meer sin veral as mens kyk na waar jy dit saam ry , gewig ens.....
Daai byl is net te mooi om mee te kap :rolling:

I find the chainsaw works very well and after I'v finished cutting the trees, bushes, wheels, tent and the rest my back doesn't hurt, but my head does becouse my wife has given me a "tie klap" across the back of my head :rolling:

I know a "taai klap", but this "tie klap" is very interesting. Is it something like a more formal "klap" :think: :rolling: :lol:
