Hi Grootseun,

Bel Herman by 0724898890. Hy is by LA Sport in Centurion.

Ek dink 'n goeie kopie!!

Dirko I have a Snomaster single-door double-compartment fridge (similar in concept to the National Luna Weekender) that I bought second-hand about 2 years ago.

It has been through Lesotho, Botswana and a number of 4x4 trails, and has not given me a moment's trouble. It came with baskets and a bag, but I do not use the baskets either. I find they make it difficult to get things in and out of the fridge (alles haak vas) and they take up space as Wilfred says.

However a friend of mine also has one which he also bought second-hand, which has given him trouble twice, however I suspect a lot of his problems have been due to his charging system.

Personally I would not hesitate to buy that fridge (that is the one with the dual controls isn't it?). I think it is just about ideal.

I am also very impressed with National Luna, and as Tinus says the LAS Pro-cool looks like a 100% re-badged National Luna, but I feel Snomaster is a better deal, although National Luna is a better finished product. In the catalog it looks like Snomaster has done a lot of catching up to invalidate my last comment, but I have not seen one of the new ones in the flesh yet.
Mag ons ons kenniskry met lekkerkry aanhoukry.

Hi Grootseun

I have a Snomaster 60L Chromadeck , I think same as Peter C , dual compartment with each compartment own cover. This is not the stainless steel one and it has the Danfoss Compressor in, had it for over two years now and will buy Snomaster again. My aanstaande skoonseun bought him the 70L double door Chromadeck you are looking at the same one me thinks ( This one also has the Danfoss Compressor in) , he has used it now for about 6 months and is very impressed with it.

To my knowledge the SS units come with a chinese imitation compressor of the danfoss where the chromadeck units come with Danfoss compressor, but they might have decided to use the Danfoss also in there SS units. They have specials at the "fabriek " on saturday mornings there adres is

Grootseun,

Depending on the size you are looking at do not forget about the Engel 40lt. It is a bullet proof fridge.

:mytwocents:
