Yip me also read the article very briefly in SA4X4 magazine, and that is what I like about my Snomaster lekka dik sidewalls, 50mm where the Engel and the newer NL is about 35 -40mm. The built quality of Snomaster according to me also much better than Campmaster and the other type of brands floating around. I would say build quality of Snomaster much on par with NL & Engel

I stand corrected but the new or later engels work with inverter and does not like it when battery goes below 11v ???
Also the peolpe has copied the compressor and it is not always the same!

Gents,

I have both the Engel and the National Luna. NL 80lt was purchased in 2000 and I have never had a problem with it. Absolutely a great fridge. The reason I commented about baskets is that when you fill the fridge, it is easier to remove the basket to get at the lower items. The 80LT unit has three basket on top and one at the bottom. Typically I put all the meat on the lower section and the fruit and veggis on the top.

In addition to this I also have a Engle 32lt in the back of the Troll. This has a protective mat on the bottom and a large single basket. With out baskets, the items are on the surface of the fridge and I have seen a number of fridges with very bad scratches on the inside. Imagine driving on dirt roads for 1000 km and their are cans and bottles etc in the fridge. The shaking will cause scratching. Maybe I am FOS, but with the money you pay for one of these units, you must look after it.

What I like about NL is if you have a issue you go to National Luna. If you have a issue with Engel you go to Mega World. Mega world have a repair center, in Medowdale. You deal direct with the manufacturer/Importer. No third party's.

Once again, this is my opinion and experience.

Hi Ouens,

Dus is bystand sommer in Afrikaans as jy dit so wil he!

Groetnis
