Firestone rear Air Spring Helpers

Post by mvcoller »

I had a set of these fitted the week before I left for my Kalahari Safari and It raised my heavily loaded vehicle beyond my expectations. With the bags pumped only to 1.5 bar (max permissible is 2.5 bar) the vehicle stood slightly higher than when unladen. Ride quality and handing was unaffected, but obviously better than what it would have been, if they had not been fitted.

Firestone Air Spring Company referred me to their ex-employee, Norman of Econ Suspensions in Boksburg, who accommodated me the next morning and gave me an excellent price, at R6k, it was R1k cheaper than what the other guys could, and who could only help me later in the week.

I agree 100%. Mine helps a lot when towing caravan.

I had mine done at the same fitment centre much cheaper than anywhere else and received good service from them.

I also have a set in the rear coils. Works a treat when loaded, and is simple to adjust as the load lightens
