Parts from Europe and customs

Hello!
Has somebody here knowledge about your customs?
I tried to understand your customs regulations for new and used car parts for a german car. But no chance.
I found a PDF with a lot of fees, then I wrote a mail to your customs service with some questions concerning this PDF.
I got back a mail with the same PDF and the remark: "all answers are in the PDF"

hahaha.... Frank, you must have asked good questions that the "very intelligent" customs official did not understand or was too lazy to try understand.... so that is why you got the "all answers are in the PDF"

I don't know the answers either, but I am sure someone here will be able to give you advice.

Hi Frank

Yeahh ,... that is Africa for you but I guess you will get the smae from a France / Belgium official too/

What is it that you want to import [have exported] to South Africa?
As for parts - you can import ANYTHING in terms of spares / parts of vehicles - It must be declared at customs, the relevant taxes paid and it is yours to take. [Normally]

Our friend Mike Swann imports gearbox & diff & parts [mopstly from USA but stilll ] Please contact him direct and ask for his guidelines that will leave you with the easiest options.
Regards
oom mac

I use this import calculator and it seems to be very accurate.
