Those slide will also add to your weight, you would probably use 2 sets of sliders to extend the awning to the desired length and then still have to have support legs due to the weight of the sliders. I would suggest do a search on "howling moon" a manufacturer out of RSA that produces a neat package and is exported to the world market and my opinion the better option for your.

And for anchoring the poles in sand, don't use pegs or bricks, you have plenty of sand carry a couple of canvas sand bags 200x300mm with looped carry handles, fill with sand and burry and wola there you have an excellent anchor for the stabilising ropes. If you need more anchorage burry the bag deeper into the sand! and at the end of the day, big them out, empty the sand and you have no real weight to carry home in you Trol.
