At least when you by the Safari snorkel and you have a problem you can go back to them. Not only do they do snorkels but also turbo and inter coolers. They look at the complete system and thus my suggestion that they are the best.

The system they use internal to connect the snorkel to the air box is developed to seal for decades. Mine has been on for seven years and no problem.

Inspection of the snorkel and fittings should be performed regularly as they can loosen.

Visit the safari website and you can see tests done on copy's from the east.

Many people on the 4x4community site also have Piet Petoors' (4x4Direct) snorkels fitted - this is the one one my wishlist. I'm sure that if there was anything wrong with the product, or the service from the supplier someone would have raised it there.

I have the "Piet Petoors" which was fitted by a previous owner and the fitter did not do a good job. Was more of a water trap than anything else.

Graham then sorted it and he has a couple of minor mods he does when fitting that make a big difference.

Very happy with it now.

:rolling: :rolling: :rolling: Ricster if youve got it flaunt it. They look the same. Glad it doesnt run outside of the fender.
Thanx for all the replies guys.
Seems like having a piet patoors snorkel, fitted by Graham on josh's trol sounds like the mix to go. Can then throw in the madman for the price of one. SWAMBO just might be impressed :blonde:
We're doing south of Namibia and Kghalagadi December. 3weeks  So I must keep an eye on costs.

I bought my snorkel from summit4x4.co.za (Snorkel King on this forum) in Centurion. Graham fitted it two years ago. It cost a fraction of the more expensive trademark models. I am very happy with it and there is no sign of inferiority.
