Cedric, are you suggesting that the Lion fans also wear this?
In that case, not to be left out, the makers should also consider the blue and white striped variation of this attire.

  • a bullbar or front bumper replacement with integrated winch mounting point and hi-lift jack point
  • rear bumper with hi-lift jack point
Can a hi-lift jack be used on the back of the car without fitting a replacement rear bumper? The front I assume is not really a possibility? I'll admit I haven't really looked at the possibilities yet by climbing underneath so right now am just drawing on the collective experience here.

Hi Clem,

I have the high lift jack point in each rock slider and work like a charm. Best and most cost effective option.

Call Conrad on 0726133589. He made mine for me.

Hi Guys.
I'm in the market for a replacement front bar. What do you suggest and what prices are we looking at? I'm in KZN North coast.
Thanks

The ones wiith the big names (like TJM and ARB) are very expensive and comes with the air bag warranty. Last itme I checked ARB was more than 20k new!
Thats because they claim perform actual tests on vehicles to confirm that they are "air bag friendly"

Else you can have it custom made, in which case it can be a quarter of the price. My view is that they are also airbag friendly, provided that the correct mountings are used.

Then, depending on your budget, you can also hunt for second hand.

For the Patrol, I find that the approach angle of the factory plastic bumber is not all that poor. My original ARB bumper I had did not improve my approach angle.

Or option B, buy yourself the latest Drive Out mag, there is an article in there on a localy manufactured bull bar (it is on a defender but it says they do make for other makes!) looks nothing like the ARB but I like the look of it, and selling for about R3500 - R4000
