Re: Recovery Gear & Points
What is the price and availability on these recovery points?
What size shackle will fit in the holes of the recovery points?
I will also need a set of recovery points, please. My Patrol will be back from JP Nissan this weekend (after 2 week) and then I can also check if I need to modify my bash plate and how to fit the M12 Rivnuts. Must find a place to source it from, for a good price. Still needs to fit my diff guard...time time...

Re: Recovery Gear & Points
Peter,
Not sure if a price list for your handy work was posted in the site.
Might be nice to stick down the items you supply with the going rate.
Thank you.

Re: Recovery Gear & Points
Guys, I will order some more and should have them in a week or two.
I sell a complete set (two points including all the bolts, nuts and rivnuts required for fitting) for R600.00, so you don't have to go searching around. They accept the larger bow shackles generally used for recovery (3/4" shackle, 23mm pin diameter and 4 5/8 tons rating).
Bruin beer, dankie, ek sal op 'n stadium werk maak daarvan.
Stefan, ek sal moet loer.

Re: Recovery Gear & Points
Thanks, Peter.
Do we have any reference to a video or illustration of how to use the standard fittings at the back off the Patrol for recovery? I have a half circle type fitting just under the back door, but what and how to use it I don't have a clue.

Re: Recovery Gear & Points
Roland, I don't really. Will hitch mine up sometime and take a picture.
That half-moon is rated for 8 tons, so it is usable for recovery, although a bit light for the stronger snatch ropes. Not sure how it was intended to be used, but you can put a bow shackle through there.
