Ironman, ARB or TJM Shocks
Hi
Ironman of TJM?
Groete
Marinus

What about Rancho's, have only heard good things about them. Anybody got a set of these on their vehicle?

Re: Ironman, ARB or TJM Shocks
Marino, also get a quote on Bilsteins from Mikem, there prices are often very reasonable, particularly when you consider that these can be serviced and thus you might not need to buy shocks again?
Mag ons ons kenniskry met lekkerkry aanhoukry.

Re: Ironman, ARB or TJM Shocks
Ek sal bietjie kyk na ander make. Dit was so R2500 per shock.
Dankie vir die terugvoer.

vir wat jy wil doen -- overlanding -- sal oompie net een van 2 aanbeveel: BILSTEIN -- OF Koni -- die ander is beter adverteer as wat hulle is - en die Koni en Bilstein is net daai ent beter [selle rede as Cruisers meer hier verkoop as Patrol .. die pers en koerante [en braaivleisvuur-met-knerts-inni-hand praatjies]

Re: Ironman, ARB or TJM Shocks
agter laat insit.

Re: Ironman, ARB or TJM Shocks
I will be buying either of the following next time: (These are real-world shocks for people who use their trucks in tough conditions)
Billstein
King
Armada
I will never be buying the following again: (These are gimmicks and are all the same apart from Colour/Price/Return Policies)
XGS
IM
OME
EFS
The only ones between these two groups are:
Rancho
Tough Dog
Koni
(But you have to buy the best/biggest/most expensive model they sell if you go this route.
This is my opinion and others may not agree. Do your research and make an educated decision. Good ;luck.

Re: Ironman, ARB or TJM Shocks
OK, just an update.
I found a place in Bloem that sells EFS and Koni shocks. They are even more expensive than OME shocks. I found a place that sells Bilstein shocks in Bloem. At first I was a bit skeptical about what a set of Bilsteins might cost due to the fact that they are so good. BIG SURPRISE!! They are very well priced. Order my new Bilsteins from the agents in Bloem. Will probably work out the same cost as OME shocks after the installation cost. They will supply a shock if you have a lift of 25mm or less. They supplier of Bilstein in SA is Imcomex.
Hope this helps.

Re: Ironman, ARB or TJM Shocks
Good stuff!
If you could elaborate more on what you mean by them only willing to supply should you have a 1" lift or less? This sounds odd.
Billstein make shocks to suit lifts up to 6" .
