Jorrie why dont you just fit a tyre valve to the cap of your tank and pump some air in with youre compressor (as needed) ? Maybe fit a little pressure switch , or one of those cheap compressor with a variable switch build in to it. I think you can buy them for about R150 ?

Nadat ek jou fotos bekyk het kan ek nie help as om te wonder of dit nie die heel eenvoudigste gaan wees om die afvoerpyp se diameter te verdubbel nie, dan behoort jy meer as dubbeld die vloei te kry. Dit is 'n passiewe oplossing wat in my opinie by verre die betroubaarste en kommervrye werkverrigting sal lewer. geen elektronika nie. Jy sal net die uitlaat van die tenk ook met dieselfde vergroete diameter moet vervang, maar dit behoort elemetêr te wees - veral met die hulp en advies beskikbaar op die forum. Jy het reeds 'n ventilasie-klep in die prop. as die ventilasie klep nie genoeg lug deurlaat nie, vervang dit met 'n kraan wat jy oopmaak wanneer jy uitspan en toemaak wanneer jy oppak. Voorts is voeg jy so ook die minste addisionele gewig by jou voertuig.

I have the same setup with a pump mounted on the rhs at the back of the drawer system. Switch is flash fitted in the board. Cannot remmeber the pump type but will send you some pics tonight.

Thanks Grant. Your concept sounds very similar to what I had in mind.

The problem still remains where to source a suitable pump at a reasonable price.

I also looked at the washing machine pump idea, but it is not going to going to work and I do not want to pressurize the plastic tank.

For now it seems that frontrunner has a suitable pump.

The fun part of it all is to do the research and to investigate all the proposed options and solutions.

Pumps are around the 250-400 mark- but fuel capable as well- select Components-Electromechanical-pumps

I would probably go for a DC40-1240, but I want it to back up for fuel as well if things go wrong
