Patrol Clothing/Merchandise 2015

Post by Chris Skinner »

Hi Guys

My wife Lynne is going to give the merchandise thing a stab to see if it can work.

We have some input from John, ie what previous clothing etc was provided, logo's etc.

Heres just a 1st round of ideas - getting more inputs from Tinus and others.
What Lynne has now as a proposal is to make provision for ordering of Hats, Fleece Jackets and Shirts, with the appropriate logo embroidered thereon.

Where appropriate, each item basically will come in sizes S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL (on request) (currently the mens fleece has no size S!)

As Lynne does not have money to finance ordering and building a stock room full of items, each order to suppliers will be based on members’ orders and their associated payment to her up-front. To make it worthwhile for the embroidery etc, each order to the suppliers will have a minimum quantity requirement which is still tbd.

The idea is to check with the forum now, just prior to the River Trip to see who wants what and how many orders we get.

PRICES

Prices look to be as follows:

Fleece jackets:
Mens (sizes s to xl) = R 330 (sizes xxl plus) = R 360
Ladies (sizes s to xl) = R 300 (sizes xxl plus) = R 315

Bush shirts
Mens - (sizes s to xl) = R 350 (sizes xxl plus) = R 380
Ladies - (sizes s to xl) = R 330 (sizes xxl plus) = R 360

Hats - R90

ORDERING

There will be an initial once-off order for members, prior to the River Trip.

Members orders and payment must be placed by 15 July.

Lynne will provide invoice and bank details. Prices exclude any postage or courier costs.

The physical order to the suppliers will need to be done by 17 July to ensure the merchandise arrives prior to leaving for the River Trip.

Members can either collect from us directly, or we can arrange to take some of it with on the trip…

Your feedback on the above will be appreciated.

Of course if anyone has any better ideas, please advise.

Chris, what is the chance for getting jackets similar to the 60th anniversary ones?

Ja of course, anyone can order...and anythings possible, we will look at other options. That was just a first go at this.

Tinus has sent us some great ideas and details of another supplier Lynne did not know about - looks like they have a nice jacket too.

Lets put this on hold until we do another post with more options, tomorrow.

I will just edit the first post to say this is 1st round of ideas!

Maybe look at a cap too. I use a cap more than the bush hat.

Thanks for this.
