I'm assuming that as your Trol is a GRX, it has the standard size - 265/65/17 - which is a 31" tyre.

Most guys go to 285/70/17 which is a 33" tyre. I believe this can be done without lifting the suspension.

Some even go to 35" but then you need a lift and preferably change the diff ratios too.

I have 33" on mine, and my speedometer is basically spot on. 120 on the speedo is 120 on the GPS.
Cheers, Gareth

Steele,

You are wrong on both accounts.

1. Tyre manufacturers now recommend that after 5 years you inspect your tyres every year, and if there are no visible cracks, you can keep them on your vehicle until they are 10 years old after which they should be replaced. This is irrespective of tread depth. Go and look at all tyre manufacturers websites, most of them have a statement on them regarding the 10 year recommendation.

2. The standard 17 inch tyre on the 4.8 Y61 Facelift is in fact a 275/65 x 17 tyre, not a 265/65 x 17. It is however still a 31" tyre.

Here is a tyre size table in 15, 16 + 17 tyres

Glo my dis nie fun nie .
