Just be sure you get good cable ties. You don't want the thing coming loose and banging up the door / carrier / rim. Also, try and position it so that the padlock shackle does not rub the hole in the rim (refer my post). Whilst I generally hate cable ties in terms of "general fixes", they hold very well. These were put on after I replaced my rim post accident a week / two ago. The previous bunch had been on for quite a while, and even survived our Moegatle trip. :)
