Snaaks dat hulle nie in 15" uit kom nie.
Hou self ogie oop vir stel MT's vir die Sani. Die HT bande lyk net nie die part nie.

Re: Desert Hawk Tyres mud terrains
Cedric, any chance there is any tread left on those old 33s of yours . I been looking at these prices, and I just don't know how I am going to change rubber on the Sani. The darn HT's I have on now are so old that they are cracking between the tread, and they still have lots of tread left.
So besides the fact they are utter rubbish on gravel and even tar, I got no idea if they are to stand up to a session at lower pressure to try and get some additional traction out of them.
My cheapest options I have found is the General Grabber at just over R2k a tyre, or the SAVERO KOMODO at R2,5K each.
But I heard the guys are hardly getting 50K km out of the Komodo.... Anybody know what you can expect from the Grabber. I have a bench mark of 86K km on the KL71's on the old IFS. So cost per km, its still better to fork out 4k for the KL71. I really believe I will get better than the 86k km as the SFA seems much lighter on rubber than the IFS was. When I dumped the KL71's due to them being smooth on the edges, I still had 6mm on my worst tyre, and 10mm on my best in the center of the tread.

Re: Desert Hawk Tyres mud terrains
There is still a little tread left.... will take a pic, but something doesn't feel right on my back right tyre, and it feels like an out of balance wheel but then at slow speed, like crawling along at 5km/h it feels like the back of the Patrol is swishing side to side..... like a sexy woman walking in tight jeans.....well after all it is the Iron Maiden......
I need to have a look at the tyre tonight..... I hope its not a little de-lamination happening on the tred face or something like that.... to cough up over R10K is not a pretty sight for my bank manager. Best I start looking for quotes !!
But I'll keep them for you Dave, no problem !!

Re: Desert Hawk Tyres mud terrains
Ya, well, I thought I was going to be a hero (one day) and have 6 x MT's on the Monster Sani, and of course, you know what tyre gives me hot flushes in the pelvic area..... But that is going to cost around 25k. Since I started the SFA build, the price for those six tyres have gone from 18k to 25k. I can't believe how my income cannot keep up with my needs... Erm ok, nice to have... Damn its actually a must have
But the tyres are the last thing on the list to get my truck back on the road as a 4x4.

Did your vehicle have a lift kit installed or standard suspension when you fitted those tyres?ferdidiver wrote: ↑21 Jun 2016 17:41 Het toe daai 285/70R17 opgesit
Sover is ek baie in my skik. Goeie pad hou vermoe veral nou met n klompie reen wat geval het .
Bietjie sand gery die naweek , baie baie sag .
Sal julle op hoogte hou hoe dit vorder.
