BFG KO2

Good morning!
I thought about new tyres for about a year now as the old ones had already about 8 years on and I didn't want to risk a puncture due to and old tyre despite still enough tread left.
As everybody here I read in the internet about which tyre might be best (my possible types were BFG KO2, Cooper ST MAXX, or the Bridgestone Dueler 697 (I had the 694 on before).
In the end I learned, that you just have to read long enough to have somebody telling tyre X is the best he ever had, with incredibly mileage, durability and versatility and you will have somebody who will say the exact opposite: flats, wear, punctures, noise, and so on.
So there I was at the local dealer examining his options he had in stock. It turned out the KO2 and the ST MAXX were available. As the price difference wasn't great (less than 1000ZAR for five tyres) it was rather a matter of taste and I decided for the KO2s.
Now it is a bit unfair as I never drove the duelers when they were new, but the changes are impressive: basically nearly no noise from the tyres anymore, neither on sand nor on tar. No humming at all.
The grip is much better, even while breaking softly on tar you feel a difference - but that is something I experienced a few other times when I exchanged old tyres against new ones.
Also on well-maintained dust road the car feel much more precise and direct. So far I am quite happy with my choice.
I will follow up when I made a few Ks but that will take some time.
