No, but I have galvanised a number of other things, and I doubt I would try that on a rim.
Galvanising is pretty rough and would probably damage tires during fitting, and since it is a fairly high temperature process, I am also concerned about the rims buckling.

I had my prevoius GQ's rims galvinised by a company in Pretoria. Not a days problems with those rims.

i know of guys with old hiluxes and isuzus who galvanised their rims,just wanted to see if any patrols have been done,obviously cause they are so much heavier

I will not galv my rims it gets dipped in a bath and goes on very uneven so n bitch to balance ect . We did it to boat rims that stayed on the beach but powercoating or good paint will be better . You could not tow the boat fast

I have 4 x Galvanised rims on my boat trailer - no problems!
They look like the white smiths wheels mags.
I think balancing could be the only issue - but on a boat trailer this is not critical.
The galvanised rims are the only thing that lasts long term when rims are regularly getting covered by sea water.

Tks Guys, looks like for now i will be going the sandblast hammerite way until i need to get tyres then i will decide 15 inch pro whites or those rims peter vee has on his trol, best i have ever seen,yes i know they are pricey but....
