Soos ek uitgevind het net buite Welkom... gelukkig is my broer op Klerksdorp, hy het vir my gelaaide battery gebring, nou so 45min terug in Bloem gestop. Sal more battery laat toets, ek het met multimeter Vrydag toe die drama begin het die alternator se outputs getoets, op idle 13,4/5v of so, tot onder lading to 14.5/6v gestoot.

Daai Voltages klink vir my bietjie laag.

Sal aanbeveel U laat toets hom iewers.

Ek het so maand terug my Alternator laat recon by n auto electrician in pretoria vir R700, ons het seker al 6 alternators by hom gerecon oor die laaste 5 jaar en nog geen moeilikheid nie, dink dit gaan maar oor die hand wat die spanner hou.

Yes, as long as the job is done properly.
Don't just fix the immediate problem, but do a full overhaul. New bearings, brushes and regulator unit.

I think the battery isn't holding a charge..... Remember a diesel takes a LOT more oomph to start as it heats up glow plugs, irrespective of outside temperatures, and swings that motor with atleast double the power to a petrol ( 22.1:1 ) compression ratio. Once running the diesel uses almost nothing to run ( excluding ancillaries)
