Ok .....most deep cycle batteries only do 300 cycles....
Mabe try a normal spare maint free chrank battery and see what happens it charges must faster but doesn't want to be drained below 11v

I am going to try this, a friend of mine who is a long term user of auxiliary batteries in 4wds has done this and he does not wish to go back to the optima deep cycles as they are 3 to 4 times the cost.Tinus lotz wrote:Ok .....most deep cycle batteries only do 300 cycles....

I did more cabling between alternator and starter battery last night, also extra ground from starter battery to body.
