Jy kan ook kyk na steering damper suspension bushes ect maar meeste keer is dit tires of wheelbearings wat los is . Ek het die tool om op te stel as jy wil leen of as ek moet help no problem
Miskien moet jy na balance eers by my draai..... :salute:

Yeah, it happens and the more it happens the worse the condition of the worn parts gets. I recon the king pins are a little worn, along with tie rod ends, and possibly wheel bearings need a slight tweeking back to spec. The tyres also make a difference, but combine all of the above and you have the recipe for the " perfect storm "

Sending it to Graham in my opinion is the best option before balancing the tyres. Balancing the tyres might just hide one of the ingredients of the " perfect storm". Let Graham check everything else first, and then drive the car to get a feel and then definitively get the tyres balanced and possibly rotated.

Tyres is not the problem in my opinion.

Like Cedric and Tinus said, its either the king pin bearings, the wheel bearings being loose or both! This was the cause of my death wobble

I had chronic wobbles on my pickup for a long time.... tyres balanced a milion times, flipped them, optimised them, you name it.. Changed my "trill duster" steel rims for Original Patrol Pickup Steel rims (which i got for R2500 for 5 - usual price R3000 per rim)....... Wobbles totally gone. 3 years later, still no issues, different BFG sets , which tells me its definitely the rims (in my case).

In other cases it can be :

Panhard rod bushes
King pin bearings / Shims
Tyres
etc etc as others have stated.

Thank You Ross for your valuable info. I nearly rolled my Patroll with this wobble. Took it today to suspension specialists. They convinced me that the Old Man Emu shocks got stuck and need replacement.I did not replace the shocks yet. Is it possible that shocks can also cause the wobble. They checked the suspension for play and could not find serious play.Who do you think can give me a second opinion?
