Finally got around to sorting out the activation mechanism for the lockout.

The mechanism consists of two cables. Between the ends there is a tension spring which is stronger than the compression spring on the lockout tab. Thus to engage the catch one does not actually need to pull the catch out of engagement, you just apply spring pressure, and the next time the catch is not under load from suspension movement it will dis-engage.

Now all I need to do is to find a way of lifting a wheel in a controlled way, then un-bolt a shock and do it again to see how far it would go with longer shocks, and at what point the spring's going to fall out...

Sorry if I mislead you guys.

This is with the one shock loosened a the bottom. I have not found the right shocks yet.

At least now I know how far it can go, and what I need in terms of shock stroke.
However, I will definitely need to move the top shock mount to get the full travel.
