Thanks, that is a great article!

I finally installed a OME Steering Damper (They needed an angle grinder to get the old one off). Here is a pic of the shiny new toy ...

Well for me it was a big change, after 18 year the old one was dead!!! I think you really need one when you change to bigger wheels.

I replaced an OEM nissan steering damper (for no reason) with a TJM component about a year and a half ago,(looks much nicer!), and suddenly experienced the "death wobble" late last year only to find that it had packed up after about 12000km. I replaced it with another nissan part, and the problem is gone. I have now replaced all my tyres with new Cooper ST MAXX's and increased the profile to 75 so the tyre is bigger but not wider than the standard 265 tyre - and she runs without a hint of a wobble, or any pulling to the left which I could never rectify before. By the way the TJM has a 3 year warranty so LA Sport is busy replacing it at present so I'll have a spare.

What is the price for a new steering damper these days? (OEM, OME, TJM, etc.?)
Any cheaper options like gabriel available/worth considering?
I can get a new OME damper for R1350.
Does all the GU's use the same steering damper?
