Off road replacement bumpers and rock sliders.

Post by pgreeff »

I've been busy doing some upgrades the last few weeks and thought I'd do a little subtle brag.

The rear bumper off road replacement bumper was installed a few weeks ago.

Thank you David Marais for all the hard work on a Sunday. I would like to say you helped me install it, but I think you did most of the work. Thank you.

The front bumper was installed yesterday. It looks much better than I expected and looks like a brand new bumper.

Thank you Greg (Juice), it was nice to meet you last weekend.

Peter Connan rock sliders round things off nicely.

They bolt on very tightly and waste as little as possible of clearance. Now my Patrol looks great, and should hopefully take less damage on the next 4x4 trip.

Hope to see you guys at the 10 year function.

That looks very neat. Now you've just reminded me that I wanted a rear bumper and sliders :-)

Looks great Paul, it looks like the rear tyre is on a swing bracket now? What do these cost?

Ernest i know Burnco charges R4700 ex. vat for a swing arm. Here is a place in Paarl that i still want to get a quote from.

Ernest, I got a great deal from David Marais for his bumper second hand. I have the swing arm for the tyre and another one in the store room for the left hand side that holds 60l of fuel. It has space for a shovel and sand tracks too.

I believe BZT rear bumper goes for around R15k new and about R5k per swing arm. Not 100% sure about the prices, but it is in that region. I didn't pay nearly that much.
