Easier solution - get a wheel buddy, and high lift by jacking up the wheel .......

My tow bar looks much the same. Your Hi-Lift seems to clear the spare wheel well. It does seem to need the extension. Is the jacking point welded to the tow bar or bolted onto it? Does the Takla air bag extend high enough to lift a Patrol?
