3rd Row Seat Locks
Hi everyone.
The previous owner of my Patrol had a drawer system installed in the boot and removed the third row of seats. I've reinstalled the third row seats, but I've gathered that I'm missing something - namely the "seat lock" (according to the manual I've been able to track down). Basically the little metal thingymajig which is bolted to the floor and engages with the "striker" underneath the third row of seats when they are lowered.
Does anyone perhaps know where I'd be able to track these down. Alternatively, since I've got a friend with an engineering shop who does a lot of manufacturing work in the automotive industry, I can perhaps have these parts made up. Would someone perhaps be able to take a photograph or two of what they are supposed to look like, as well as a few measurements (height, length etc) ?
Thanks for the help.
Ian

Re: 3rd Row Seat Locks
Which Patrol? In my GRX they look identical to the ones under the second row of seats.

Re: 3rd Row Seat Locks
Clem,
Sorry - I should have mentioned this. The vehicle is a 2001 4.5 GRX.
Thanks for the tip. I'll take out one of the second row, fit for the third row and see whether it works. If so, I'll get my "metal butcher" friend to make a set.

Clem -- On LOBOI it looks like the "u" bolt -but squared -- like you find on the door strikers of the car

Re: 3rd Row Seat Locks
Yours are the same as mine and are a u bolt fitted through a plate.
Mine are with my seats in a storage garage but if you are coming this way I will get one out and lend to you as a sample.
Otherwise if you want spare seats with all fittings and belts it will cost you a case of corona.

Thanks - but not sure where I'm going to store another set of seats... Mine are still perfect.
Alternatively, if you are thinking of disposing them at some point, I'd happily come and collect. For a case of corona. :)

I am never going to use them as I have built a packing system that is never coming out so if you want them let me know.iandvl wrote:[

Thanks - if this includes the floor locks and stuff, I'd love to come and collect. And seriously ? Only a case of Corona ? Or should I make it more than one case ?

1 case only. I need the space. Let me know when you want to come through on 0seven32doublefive87eight1 when you are coming as I need to fetch them from my storage garage.iandvl wrote:David,Mini Patrol wrote:I am never going to use them as I have built a packing system that is never coming out so if you want them let me know.
