Rus, I think you will also have to do a frontal lobotomy on the fuel tank.
I think the way to do it would be to extend the chassis between the cross-member carrying the mountings for the upper control arms and the axle, then chop off the rear ends of the chassis?

A friend "Blom" who rides in the nationals helped me with this.
It was actually not to bad ( well Blom made it look very easy, but he has done a few comp cars) we did it the way Russ explained it, the tank will have to go in the load bid.
Peter the guy's in aus like to do it your way, I did not want to cut the chassis. the longer arm's give me better travel, and the original bumpstops were lower than the chassis, so no problem with the diff moving back on the chassis.
