So, if in 2wd flipping the difflock switch on is like turning the ABS off then... interesting

Yip - that is correct - BUT only if you did not fiddle and the circuit connected to 4x4 green dashboard light is working properly (if not, Diff Lock might not work at all or might even engage in 2wd !)

Or worse - ABS stays on with Diff locked...

When I flip my difflock switch I sometimes get a split second glimmer of an ABS light.
What lights are we supposed to see when, and what colour?

Normal 2H = no lights?
4H and 4L = green 4x4 light
Difflock switched on = what?

Apologies for rookie questions but my foreign patrols are diesel donkeys with no difflock so never experienced this before

Nope... All still factory original
