A Genuine Nissan Patrol Clutch Kit costs between R5000 and R6000. Add to that the labour of R xxxxx.xx (probably 4-6 hours at Dealership prices? )

(I paid R5200 for my clutch a few months ago but i didn't pay labour as the gearbox was taken out and replaced under warranty , hence i do not know the pre-scribed amount of hours that would normally be invoiced for the clutch install.

Thanks Gerrit

Klink my ek moet binne kort clutch doen op my 4.2TD, ek kan Valeo kry vir R2160 by Alert en hulle sal hom terug vat as hy nie reg is nie. Ek het nog Christo Salng se ou engine by my huis so sal sommer op sy flywheel kan kyk of hy pas of nie.

Sal laat weet wat die uitkoms is

My truck went in today for clutch replacement. Valeo kit cost R2700. Not sure what labour will be as it is being done by a mate with a workshop.
I was quoted by the same supplier R4500 for the LUK kit, but they didn't have stock. I should have my truck back by the weekend.
Only 234000km's, but I think the previous owner used to tow a heavy caravan.

When I replaced my engine, I could get pirate at R4.5k or genuine Nissan at R5k, so I went for the real thing.

For me, it seemed the time involved, and having to run around borrowing and returning an engine hoist was worth more than the cost difference.

Maar Michael jy het klaar 'n engine hoist, so dit maak jou somme bietjie anders...

"Only 234000km's, but I think the previous owner used to tow a heavy caravan" .....hmmmm....... the previous owner must have let the clutch slip a lot then hey?.......hahahahahaha

Considering what our trucks do.... that kind of km's is not bad at all !!!
