Madman alternatives
Would anybody be able to suggest an alternative to the Madman EMS3 unit?
I read from their Facebook page that they are having severe stock related issues. The waiting list can be over a year? I have ordered an OEM replacement pillar pod with nothing to fill it with now.
I'm looking to cover
EGTs
Coolant Temp
Transmission Temp
Oil Pressure
(P.S. This isn't for my TB45)

Re: Madman alternatives
There was a guy on 4x4 community bragging about having developed an alternative.
Alternatively, the aviation industry might have some alternatives?

Yes indeed Anthony is a good call.
The community has some interesting characters.
Maybe I should just get an EGT gauge for now - that is the most important probably for now.
Thanks guys

Re: Madman alternatives
So not to clutter the forum, but I have decided to just get an stand alone 52mm EGT gauge for now.
I preferably would like one that has an in-built alarm.
Many years ago I had a VDO unit in my Colt. Are there any retailers in RSA for VDO? Or does anybody know of another brand that's reliable?

Re: Madman alternatives
VDO do have a local agency.
I was able to order a VDO boost gauge through my local Auto Zone, but could not buy from VDO direct though.
