Thank you for the tip! She is due for a service. But overheats all the time and I'm not sure if it is because of a leak or air lock or the thermostat that has been removed.
I'll go get her serviced this week and purchase quality ANTIFREEZE.

If the thermostat has been completely removed, there is a pretty good chance the waterpump has been cavitating and is now shot...

It it has only been modified so that it can't close, then the above does not apply.

Thank you Peter. I will arrange to get them both replaced and engine serviced too.
