Thanks guys for the assistance. Sometimes my brain is busy bouncing around with work &%#@, and isn't concentrating too well on the topic.... :biggrin:

As David also says....It sounds like a flapping in the wind type of sound, and although my diagnosis may be a bit far off, I do think David may be onto something there. I have never really looked inside one of thoost flex-joints, but the sound and his description does make a lot of sense.

I seriously doubt its anything to do with the workings of the engine, as its not a consistent rhythmic sound as would be determined from the revs at any point in time. Therefore in my opinion, the noise is caused by the exhaust gasses flapping something within the exhaust pipe. Hey who knows it may even be something like a child pushing a toy up into the exhaust and it is caught somewhere along the way. I doubt it though, cause there is a huge bend as the pipe goes over the axle.
