Navara/Pathfinder 2.5 or 3.0 DCI engine for Patrol 3.0

Post by Sias »

Has anyone done or considered a conversion to replace the 3.0 diesel engine in the Patrol with either the 2.5 or 3.0 V6 from the Navara or Pathfinder? Can it be done and what will be the issues one needs to look at?

I have heard that the 3.0 V6 is n big problem child if something goes wrong then you replace the whole engine

I have owned the V9X Navara 4x4, the turbo and intercooler replacement under warranty was R 85 000 , the Viscous Fan is in the region of R21 000.

It is an awesome engine until it goes wrong.

Sekerlik is TD42 ook groot geld as iets fout gaan.
Alle ombouings is duur, maar na ‘n goeie ombouing is herstel en instandhouding op petrol enjins baie goekdkoper.

The v6 DCi motor even sounds like a petrol, however nothing like a good Petrol engine sound and add a Turbo should you need to up the fun factor.

The v9x or 3.0 vs as we know it will never work in a Patrol for one reason only........ it turns anti-clockwise so you will have to change the whole drivetrain which defeats the purpose

Ek vind dit nogal interessant. Om watter obskure rede sal n v9x verkeerd om draai?
Hoe het jy tot die besluit gekom, dit self gesien, of hoorsê?
