Re: 4.2 diesel fan belt sizes
Ross, this is perfect !!!
My spares guy couldn't help me with the other part numbers. He said he needed a manufacturer name to try trace the other numbers. Grant gave me an old set of his belts to carry as spares and to take to the spares shop to match sizes. I'll get a set of these and if there is one that is different I'll let you know..... but ours should be the same as they are same year models basically

Re: 4.2 diesel fan belt sizes
Cool...glad I could help!!
Meant to say in my post that those other numbers look like Nissan Original Part numbers.....unfortunately usually not listed by the aftermarket guys.

Re: 4.2 diesel fan belt sizes
Hi All, I am from Namibia, I have just purchased a 4.2D in Cape Town with a after market Turbo & Inter cooler fitted, the AA Dekra inspection came up with some minor maintenance items i will have to replace before i take the trip to Namibia, Walvis Bay, are the below items freely available off the shelf , as i cannot come down to Cape Town and wait on parts, however i would love a couple of weeks vacation, unfortunately my work will not allow.
1. All the v-belts [Cracked]
2. Breather pipe to tappet cover [Missing]
3. Rubber pipe at Turbo [Leaking]
4. Left and right lower control arm rubber bushes [Torn]
5. Rear Silencer rubber [Torn]
6. Driver side on engine block [AA Inspector said very slight leak, some sort of pump/mechanical unit he does not know the function or unit name, can somebody give some input with this?]
Sorry almost forgot the most important, all coolant hoses to replace
Please all, your valued comments will be highly appreciated. I would also need a reputable mechanic to fit the parts.

Re: 4.2 diesel fan belt sizes
Tiny, some of these may be quite difficult, as the turbo and intercooler setup is aftermarket and thus nobody knows where the parts came from.
I want to recommend that you PM Frans Fourie (Tour de Frans) who is a very knowledgeable mechanic based in cape town who in the past sort-of specialized in these 4.2 turbos, and see if you can get him to sort all these out for you?

Re: 4.2 diesel fan belt sizes
Yes yes yes.... Definitely speak to Frans as Peter said. He is a legend.... actually helped me rebuild my 4.2 D with turbo via telephone and this forum as I'm up in Johannesburg.
Let me know if you need his contact details via a PM.

Tiny
The pump/mechanical unit might be the vacuum pump that is leaking. its sits right under the injector pump and has a O-ring between the pump and timing cover where it bolts onto where it can leak.
