Stats.

Post by Reinier Claasen »

Where can one get the stats for the patrols? I'm looking for things like Kw, torque, approach - breakover - and departure angles, ground clearance, wading depth etc. for a 2000 4.5grx?

The SA4x4 of January have the test of the 4.8 Adventurer 60 and the only difference is the engine stats.

Excerpts from a Patrol brochure that you can download from Nissan's website:

Approach, departure, ramp angles (degrees) 37, 31, 27
Max tilt angle (degrees) 48
Max gradient (degrees) 39
Max wading depth (mm) 700
Minimum ground clearance (mm) 215

But.... the Madman EMT sensor in my Patrol indicates that I did a 40 deg gradient in mine, so the limits are not necessarily cast in stone

For Departure angles and breakover, approach, take a picture of your Patrol from the side - straight on, take out the old gradeboog (no idea what it is called in English) and draw lines to measure the angles...

Reinier, I am sure the ramp and departure ass well as rollover/sideslope and fording depth will be identical and the approach will be the same or maybe slightly better.

This all assumes standard suspension and standard tire sizes, off course.
