Dalk link die chip in by die sagteware van die variable vane turbo. Voor die chip, het hulle probeer om die turbo se elektronise verstelling te verander, maar het nie daarin geslaag nie.

Can only echo what most have said here.
Just let my 3.0L CRD go - but for the only reason one ever sells a Patrol - to get a better Patrol haha
I am going the other way, "upgrading" to a 4.8 GRX, but mostly because I don't commute at all and only want it for play/bush car.
My 3L CRD worked well under most conditions. Did feel a bit sluggish in town, but I didn't mind (that "plaaskar" feeling suits me).
Open road was great, got consumption between 8-9km/l fully loaded.
Just let my 3.0L CRD go - but for the only reason one ever sells a Patrol - to get a better Patrol haha

Maak vir my ook nie sin nie, maar ja eks nie n expert op daai turbo en hoe die ecu brsluit hy moet werk nie.
Ek kan wel se dat ek 100% vetstaan hoekom almal weg beweeg van n vacuum controled VNT turbo na n electronically controlled VNT turbo. Dis net waaaay makliker om hom te beheer wat jy wil he hy moet doen.
Snaaks dat die 128kw Navara/Pathfinder n vacuum VNT setup het en die 140kw weergawe n electronic VNT gebruik...... wens hulle kon die Patrol CRD ook so een gee, sou baie drama gespaar het

So die chip kan nie die vnt beheer.
So al wat die chip op mvcoller se patrol doen, hy probeer met diesel die turbo se fout dood gooi. Ek sou bekommerd wees oor my piston crowns in die geval. Maar, to be fair, daar is n egt om dit te probeer dop hou. Persoonlik, sou ek my turbo na iemand wou vat wat hom kon reg uit sort though.

Jip die CRD se turbo word deur vacuum beheer.
Om eerlik te wees weet ek nie presies wat die chip alles beheer nie, maar ek dink amper nie hy het iets te doen met die vacuum van die turbo nie.
Soos ek verstaan beheer hulle die maksimum boost deur die een gedeelte van die VNT te stel (die gedeelte wat jy mag stel).
Ek praat onder korreksie, maar ek dink hulle stel net die fueling met die chip en die boost word manual op die turbo gedoen.

Die diesel kort fuel om die turbo op te spoel . Maak die rpm bietjie hoër met wegtrek en hy ry baie beter . Die crd is n moderne dielsel wil nie 1500 rpm wees nie

Sal ook nog eendag my Rd28t wou 3.0 turbo op sit as dit moontlik sou wees.
Maar eers moet ek netnou sy engine oop maak en ring job gee.

Ek het intussen met die ou by SAC gepraat wat die instelasie doen.
In kort kan hulle op die DI engine slegs die fueling stel met die chip. Die boost word op die turbo gestel.
Op die CRD kan hulle rail pressure en timing stel met die chip, boost word ook op die turbo gestel.
