Over boost of hoer as beplande boost is nie gevaarkik nie. Dit maak net jou brandstof/lug mengsel "lean" en dit gee lae EGT's.
Dit is baie meer nadelig en gevaarlik om n ryk branstof/lug mengsel te he, want jou EGT's kan gevaarlik hoog gaan en engine skade veroorsaak.

I VNT turbo kan lekker hoog boost en dit kan sy lewe heelwat berkort en soos bair Ranger 2.2 eienaars al gesien het kan hulle catastrophic fail.

N "te lean" mengsel gaan jou engine ook nie noodwendig meer krag maak nie. Daar is n punt waar meer boost niks meer krag gee nie, maar ek sou nie se dis gevaarlik nie

My bogenoemde stelling is net waar vir diesel engines.
Op n peteol engine is over boost BAIE gevaarlik en kan enige iets van ping, detenation en n baie lean branstof/lug mengsel veroorsaak en dit gaan jou engine baie vinnig dood maak.

Dankie. Ek het spesifiek oor diesel gevra.

Ek het een outjie waar my boost verby die vermoe van die injectorpomp verby hardloop.

For what it is worth....my CRD towing heavy on Saturday, big car trailer, Subaru Forester loaded on top, from Lephalale to Randburg 6km/l.
(basically uphill all the way)

Ek het ondertussen weer paar Zd30 voertuie (na my 2006 hardbody) aangeskaf, almal met vnt turbos (selfs my hardbody ook), party elektronies beheer, party vakuum beheerd.

Ek moet sê, ek love die Zd30. Hope krag. 4.8+ se krag, sonder die dorste. Myle meer nm as 4.8. Veral aangenaam in my 1.5 ton hardbody.
