Sorry guys have to share.
Hosed myself earlier, went to the shop with the wife and parked next to a standard Patrol, with all the extras added on mine and the lift kit, it looks huge compared to the stock one, Wife pipes up ''oh that's nice when this one is paid you can buy me a little one like that '' I had no words, just said ok babes.

Hey Guys
Well brakes are done and just as well because they were on their last, What sort of distance do you usually get on a set of pads, binding looks resolved as well, lower piston on the passenger side was very tight, cycled it to full stroke and back half a dozen times and it loosened up nicely, will just keep an eye on it, steering stops sorted as well, so all is good so far.
Next weekend will be diffs, box and transfer lube.

Afternoon Chaps
Was going through the Prepper Wagon getting it ready for a weekend away, and that little birdie said , "Dude check them Damn diff locks".
and rightly so, they were not working as should be, they engaged but didn't disengage, checked vacumn and it was there, checked supply to the solenoid, 12volts on engaging and 0V on the disengaging side.
In the meantime Nissan spares guy calls back, must I order you a solonoid, R2766-00, hell no thank you. helps reading the Forum Saw they're available for under 1K.
Eventually proved that there was no neutral on the supply to the solenoid.
Found it
Seems that somewhere in her life she had been ratted. and this happened ages ago as I had to cut all ends back at least an inch due to the corrosion creep in the conductor. this is the earth point that is just behind passenger side headlight, 2 conductors off, have no clue what the other one is for, connected it anyway
Joined some pieces in a walla diff lock working like a dream.
Will have to pull the centre at some point in the near future as the backlash seems a bit excessive.

Well done on finding that, you clearly have more patience than me.
Where/how are you measring the backlash?
If it is how much the car can roll backwards and forwards with the hand-brake engaged, be aware that there is quite a lot and it may not be as bad as you think.

Ok, same thing really. There is usually quite a lot of backlash if checked that way.
If it's not making any weird noises I would be inclined to leave it. If it really bothers you, we could compare mine to yours?
